These Additional Terms of Use incorporate and supplement the Creative Commons Master Terms of Use with respect to your use of whyopenedmatters.org. The purpose of these Additional Terms of Use is to give notice of additional terms that relate to the use of whyopenedmatters.org. In the event of a conflict between these Additional Terms of Use and the Master Terms of Use, the Additional Terms take precedence with respect to the use of whyopenedmatters.org.
When you enter a submission to the Why Open Education Matters Video Competition (the “Competition”), your video will be displayed on whyopenedmatters.org. Per the Official Rules of the Competition, you are required to have released your video under the Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 Unported license. Contrary to Section 8(b)(ii) of the Master Terms of Use, you do not have designate Creative Commons as the Attribution Party for purposes of such license.
When you register on whyopenedmatters.org in order to submit a vote for your favorite Competition video, you are required to disclose your real name and email address. Contrary to Section 10 of the Master Terms of Use, you may not register on whyopenedmatters.org on behalf of another individual or entity under any circumstances. This prohibition is designed to ensure the integrity of the Competition’s public voting process.
